Florenta e orasul in care am visat sa ajung inca de cand eram mica. Capiala artei in perioada Renasterii, Florenta este orasul in care s-au nascut sau au domiciliat minti luminate precum Leonardo Da Vinci, Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli, Machiavelli, Michalangelo, Donatelo sau Galileo Galilei. Florence is the city I have dreamt to visit since I was a kid. The capital of art in the Renaissance period, Florence is the place where great artists or thinkers changed the world as we know it today. Leonardo Da Vinci, Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli, Machiavelli, Michalangelo, Donatelo or Galileo Galilei were born or lived here.

Florenta a inflorit sub conducerea familiei De Medici – cunoscuta pentru pasiunea pentru arta, cultura si stiinta. Simbolul Florentei este Domul Santa Maria del Fiore. Impunatoarea biserica se afla in centrul orasului si esta e a patra cea mai mare catedrala din lume. Life in Florence bloomed under the ruling of De Medici family – patrons of art, culture and science.  Florence’s cathedral or Duomo is the city’s symbol. The imposing church is situated in the center of the city and is the 4th largest cathedral in the world.

Cu Florenta se identifica si Ponte Vecchio, cel mai vechi pod din Florenta. Acesta traverseaza raul Arno. Initial aici se gaseau mai multe macelarii. Deranjati de miros, membrii familiei De Medici au transformat locatiile in ateliere de bijuterii, care inca se afla acolo. Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, is also a symbol of the city. The bridge is build over the Arno river. Initially, the meat markets were situated here. The rulers of the city moved the meat markets to avoid the smell. They were replaced by goldsmith shops that still occupy the premises.

Galeria Uffizi este cel mai cunoscut muzeu din Florenta, dar si cel mai vechi din lume – aici veti admira opere celebre semnate de Da Vinci, Michelangelo sau Botticelli. Dupa o vizita La Palazzo Pitti veti afla totul despre stilul de viata al familiei De Medici. Adicante palatului sunt Gradinile Boboli. The Uffizi Gallery is the best art gallery in Italy and one of the oldest and most famous art museums in the world. Here you will admire the works of Da Vinci, Michelangelo or Botticelli.
After visiting the Palazzo Pitti you will know everything about the Medici life style. Right next to the palace you can find the Boboli Gardens.

Piazza della Signoria este locul in care puteti admira copia sculpturii David de Michelangelo. Originalul este la Galleria dell’Accademia. Tot in Piazza della Signoria se afla fantana lui Neptun, statuia lui Hercule sau opera lui Cellini, care il infatiseaza pe Perseu tinand capul Meduzei. Piazza della Signoria is the place where you can admire Michelangelo’s David. It’s only a copy. The original is at Galleria dell’Accademia. Also in the Piazza della Signoria you can admire the fountain of Neptune, Hercule’s statue and Cellini’s Perseus and Medusa.

Basilica Santa Croce este locul in care au fost inmormantate sau unde sunt comemorate multe dintre personalitatile Florentei: Galileo, Michalangelo, Machiaveli sau Dante. The Basilica Santa Croce is the place where notable Florentines were buried or commemorated (Galileo, Michalangelo, Machiaveli or Dante)
